Marketing Dashboards (Looker Studio)

A marketing dashboard should answer one question fast: is our marketing spend turning into revenue? We build Looker Studio dashboards that combine GA4, ad platforms and backend data into a single view, designed around the decisions each person makes. Accurate dashboards start with a clean GA4 setup.

Quick answer

What is Marketing Dashboards?

A marketing dashboard is a live report that brings key marketing metrics, such as spend, traffic, leads, revenue and cost per acquisition, into one view. Built in tools like Looker Studio, it pulls data from GA4, ad platforms and your CRM or store automatically, so teams track performance without manual spreadsheets.

How it works

How we deliver dashboards.

  1. 1

    Define the questions

We interview the people who will use the dashboard and agree on metric definitions, targets and the questions each page must answer.

  2. 2

    Connect the data

We connect native and partner data sources, and for larger accounts route data through BigQuery for faster, more reliable reporting.

  3. 3

    Design and build

We build focused pages for leadership and channel owners, with blended metrics from our marketing attribution work where relevant.

  4. 4

    Train and maintain

We walk your team through the dashboard and document data sources so it stays accurate as campaigns and tools change.

What should a marketing dashboard include?

A marketing dashboard should include spend, revenue or qualified pipeline, cost per acquisition and a blended efficiency metric like MER, broken down by channel and compared with the previous period. Everything else is secondary detail for the people who manage that channel.

Clarity matters more than chart count. One executive page with a handful of numbers that tie to financial goals is more useful than ten pages of traffic charts, a point we also make in our guide to building a marketing budget you can defend.

Is Looker Studio good enough for marketing reporting?

Yes, Looker Studio is a strong choice for most marketing teams because it is free, connects natively to Google products and is easy to share. Its limits show up with very large data sets or many connected sources, where direct connectors can become slow or hit API quotas.

For those cases we load data into BigQuery first and point Looker Studio at it. Non-Google platforms such as Meta usually need a partner connector or a data pipeline, which can add a subscription cost. We plan this as part of our wider marketing analytics services.

Marketing dashboard or internal business tool?

A marketing dashboard reports on marketing performance, while an internal tool helps your team run operations, such as managing orders, inventory or approvals. If you need software your staff works inside every day, look at our internal tools development service instead.

Many clients start with a marketing dashboard and later add operational tools once reporting has shown where manual work slows the team down. Not sure which fits? Contact us and we will point you to the right option.

FAQ

Dashboards questions.

Yes, but Looker Studio does not include a native Meta Ads connector. We use a partner connector or move the data into BigQuery or Google Sheets first, depending on your volume and budget.

Most sources refresh automatically on a schedule, often daily or every few hours depending on the connector and caching settings. Real-time data is rarely necessary for marketing decisions, and daily refreshes keep dashboards fast.

Yes. We build the dashboard and data sources in accounts you own or transfer them to you, so you keep full access if we stop working together.

Pricing is custom and depends on the number of data sources, pages and whether a BigQuery pipeline is needed. Our pricing page explains how we scope projects, and some connectors carry their own subscription fees.
