iOS & Android App Development

Our mobile app development team builds native iOS and Android apps for companies that need speed, device features and a polished feel on both platforms. We handle the whole path from scoping to store release, as part of our wider app development services. If you only need a first version to validate demand, start with MVP development instead.

Quick answer

What is iOS & Android App Development?

Mobile app development is the process of designing, building, testing and releasing software that runs on smartphones and tablets. For iOS that usually means Swift and SwiftUI; for Android, Kotlin and Jetpack Compose. A complete project covers product scoping, UX design, a backend or API, store submission and ongoing updates after launch.

What's included

What you get with ios & android apps.

  • Product scoping workshop and a written feature and screen inventory
  • UX flows and UI design following Apple Human Interface Guidelines and Material Design
  • Native iOS app in Swift and SwiftUI, native Android app in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose
  • Backend and API work: authentication, data storage, push notifications
  • Analytics and crash reporting wired in before launch
  • App Store Connect and Google Play Console setup, listings and submission
  • Post-launch support for OS updates, bug fixes and new features

Who it's for

  • Companies whose app relies on device features like camera, Bluetooth, location or health data
  • Brands that want a premium, platform-native experience on iPhone and Android
  • Teams replacing an aging app that has become slow, unstable or hard to update
How it works

How we deliver ios & android apps.

  1. 1

    Scope

We define users, core jobs and must-have features, then agree a written scope and release plan you can budget against.

  2. 2

    Design

Clickable prototypes for the key flows, tested with real users where possible, before any production code is written.

  3. 3

    Build and test

Two-week sprints with builds you can install through TestFlight and Google Play internal testing, backed by mobile app testing on real devices.

  4. 4

    Release and improve

We prepare store listings, handle review feedback, then ship updates based on analytics, crash reports and user feedback.

Native or cross-platform: when is native the right choice?

Native is the right choice when your app depends on deep device integration, demanding performance or the newest platform features on day one. Think heavy camera or Bluetooth work, background location, complex animations, widgets, wearables or tight integration with HealthKit and similar platform APIs.

The tradeoff is two codebases. Swift for iOS and Kotlin for Android means more engineering time for every feature, and you need people fluent in both ecosystems. For many business apps (account portals, booking, content, commerce) a shared codebase is enough, which is why we also offer cross-platform app development with React Native and Flutter.

We recommend an approach after the scoping workshop, not before. The deciding factors are the features on your roadmap, your budget, the team that will maintain the app and how quickly you need both platforms live. Our pricing page explains how each option is scoped.

How does App Store and Google Play review work?

Both stores review every app before it goes live, and they check privacy, content, payments and basic stability. Apple reviews each submission against its App Review Guidelines; Google Play combines automated and manual checks against its developer policies.

Common reasons for rejection include crashes, broken links or login flows reviewers cannot access, unclear data collection disclosures, missing account deletion options and in-app purchases that bypass the required billing systems. We build to these rules from the start, provide reviewers with demo credentials and complete the privacy labels and data safety forms accurately.

No one can guarantee approval, because the final decision belongs to Apple and Google. What we can do is reduce avoidable rejections and respond quickly when a reviewer asks for changes.

FAQ

iOS & Android apps questions.

Cost depends on the number of screens, the backend you need, integrations and whether you build natively for both platforms or share code. We price each project after a scoping session so the estimate reflects your actual feature list. Our pricing page explains how engagements are structured.

Timelines depend on scope, design complexity and how fast decisions get made on your side. We give a phased release plan after scoping and show progress through installable builds every sprint. Store review time is outside anyone's control, so we plan buffer for it.

Yes. The code, design files and store accounts belong to you. We work in repositories and developer accounts in your company's name so you are never locked in.

Usually, yes. We start with a code and architecture review to understand its condition, then recommend whether to stabilize and extend it or rebuild specific parts.

Yes. Apps need regular updates for new iOS and Android versions, SDK changes and store policy updates. We offer ongoing support covering fixes, updates and new features.
