Web App & PWA Development
Our web app development work covers customer-facing products that people log into and use every day, built with Next.js, React, TypeScript and Node. It is part of our broader app development services and often the fastest way to reach users on every device with one product. When the app needs to talk to your CRM, payments or ERP, we build those connections through API integrations.
Quick answer
What is Web App & PWA Development?
Web app development is building interactive software that runs in a web browser, such as customer portals, SaaS products, booking systems and dashboards. Unlike a marketing website, a web app has user accounts, data and business logic. A progressive web app (PWA) adds installability, offline support and push notifications on supported devices.
What you get with web apps & pwas.
- Technical architecture and data model documented before development
- Responsive front end in React and Next.js with TypeScript
- Backend and APIs in Node (REST or GraphQL) with a managed database
- Authentication, roles and permissions, including SSO where needed
- PWA features: install prompt, offline caching and web push where supported
- Payments, email and third-party service integrations
- Hosting, monitoring, error tracking and automated deployments
Who it's for
- SaaS founders and product teams building a browser-based product
- Businesses that need a customer portal for accounts, orders, bookings or documents
- Companies that want mobile reach without the overhead of app store releases
How we deliver web apps & pwas.
- 1
Define
We document users, roles, core workflows and data, then turn them into a prioritized backlog and architecture plan.
- 2
Prototype
Clickable prototypes for the main workflows so stakeholders agree on how the product works before it is built.
- 3
Build in increments
Working software deployed to a staging environment every sprint, with code review and automated tests on each change.
- 4
Launch and operate
Production launch with monitoring and alerting, then ongoing releases. If you later need store apps, cross-platform development can reuse much of the logic.
What is a progressive web app (PWA)?
A progressive web app is a website built with app-like capabilities: it can be installed to a phone or desktop home screen, work offline or on poor connections, and send push notifications where the browser supports them. It uses standard web technology, mainly a web app manifest and a service worker.
PWAs avoid app store review and let you ship updates instantly, and a single codebase serves desktop and mobile. Support for some features varies by browser and operating system, and iOS in particular has historically supported fewer PWA capabilities than Android, so we check your required features against current platform support during planning.
Web app, PWA or native app: which do I need?
Start with a web app when your users work mostly on desktop, need to reach you from a link, or when you want to iterate quickly without store releases. B2B portals, SaaS dashboards and internal workflows are usually best served this way.
Choose a PWA when mobile users matter but your features do not depend heavily on device hardware. Choose a store app when you need deep device integration, store discovery or the trust and habits that come with an icon from the App Store and Google Play.
Many products start as a web app, prove demand, then add mobile apps later. If you are still validating the idea, our MVP development process is built for that stage, and our pricing page explains how we scope it.

Web apps & PWAs questions.
A website mainly presents information, while a web app lets users do things: log in, manage data, complete workflows and transact. Web apps need more engineering for accounts, security, databases and business logic.
Our default is TypeScript with Next.js and React on the front end and Node on the back end, with a managed relational database. We adjust when your team or existing systems call for something else.
It depends on the number of user roles, workflows, integrations and security requirements. We estimate after a scoping session, and our pricing page explains how engagements are structured. Phasing the build is a common way to control cost.
In some cases, yes. PWAs can be packaged for Google Play and some other stores, while Apple's App Store generally expects apps to offer more than a wrapped website. We advise on the best route for your audience.
We follow established practices such as secure authentication, role-based access, input validation, encrypted connections, dependency updates and least-privilege access to infrastructure. Security reviews are part of the release process, not an afterthought.
