Performance & Load Testing
Our performance testing services show how your system holds up when real traffic arrives, and where it slows down or breaks first. We script realistic user behavior in k6 or JMeter and run tests as part of our QA testing services. This is different from page speed work for search, which sits under technical SEO.
Quick answer
What is Performance & Load Testing?
Performance testing services measure how a website, app or API behaves under expected and extreme traffic. Load tests simulate realistic user volumes, stress tests push past normal limits, and spike tests simulate sudden surges. The results show response times, error rates and bottlenecks, so you can fix capacity problems before a launch, sale or campaign exposes them.
What you get with performance testing.
- Performance goals and test scenarios based on real traffic patterns
- Load, stress, spike and soak test scripts in k6 or JMeter
- Test environment and test data preparation
- Monitoring of servers, databases and third-party services during tests
- Bottleneck analysis covering queries, caching, infrastructure and code
- Report with findings, prioritized fixes and retest results
- Optional performance checks in your CI pipeline
Who it's for
- E-commerce brands preparing for sales events and seasonal peaks
- SaaS and app teams launching new products or onboarding large customers
- Companies about to scale ad spend and send far more traffic to their site
How we deliver performance testing.
- 1
Set targets
We agree acceptable response times and error rates for your key journeys and the traffic levels you expect.
- 2
Script real behavior
Test scripts mimic how users actually browse, search, log in and buy, not just repeated hits on the homepage.
- 3
Run and observe
We ramp up load in stages while watching application and infrastructure metrics to find where performance degrades.
- 4
Fix and retest
We explain the bottlenecks, help your developers fix them and rerun tests to confirm the improvement. Ongoing checks can join your automated testing pipeline.
Load testing vs stress testing: what is the difference?
Load testing checks how a system performs at the traffic you expect, while stress testing pushes beyond it to find the breaking point and see how the system fails and recovers. Load tests answer whether you are ready for normal and peak days. Stress tests answer what happens if demand exceeds your plans.
Two related tests are often useful. Spike tests simulate a sudden surge, such as a product drop, email blast or TV mention. Soak tests run a steady load for hours to reveal memory leaks and slow degradation that short tests miss.
When should you run performance tests?
Run performance tests before any event that will bring unusual traffic, after major architecture or infrastructure changes, and before launching a new product. Sales events, big ad campaigns and media coverage are the classic triggers.
Test in an environment as close to production as possible, and coordinate with hosting providers and third-party services before generating heavy load. Some providers have rules about load testing, and a test against a shared payment or email service can cause problems for others.
Functional bugs found along the way are logged too, and we can cover them with website QA testing. For scoping, see our pricing page.

- Mobile App TestingFunctional, usability and compatibility testing of iOS and Android apps on real devices before every release.
- Automated Testing (Playwright & Cypress)End-to-end test suites in Playwright or Cypress that run in your CI pipeline and catch regressions before release.
- Accessibility Testing (WCAG)WCAG 2.2 AA audits that combine automated scans, keyboard and screen reader testing, with a clear fix list.
Performance testing questions.
It can if done carelessly, which is why we usually test a staging environment that mirrors production. If production testing is necessary, we plan it for low-traffic windows, ramp up gradually and stop immediately if problems appear.
k6 is scriptable in JavaScript and fits well into modern developer workflows and CI pipelines. JMeter is a long-established tool with broad protocol support and a GUI. We choose based on your stack and team.
No. Page speed focuses on how fast a single page loads for one visitor, which matters for user experience and search. Performance testing focuses on how the whole system behaves when many users act at the same time.
Cost depends on the number of scenarios, the complexity of the system and how many test rounds are needed. Our pricing page explains how we scope the work.
